Director reel compilation of military and government projects
This U.S. Department of Interior / BLM contract with Left of Creative enables creative and technical support to the government public affairs office through cinematography, photography, editing and overall visual storytelling to help improve communications. The subject matter focus is the BLM’s actions on public lands to protect the health and well-being of the wild horses and burros and their habitat. The objective is to assist BLM public affairs through producing visual products that aid in transparency and education to the public.
The U.S. Department of Justice engaged Left of Creative to design and execute a campaign for opioid/fentanyl awareness, addiction, treatment, and recovery. This work included brand identity, graphic and motion design, video production of PSA’s and a documentary film, Circles and Silence. Nominated for five Emmy Awards, Bellino directed this compelling film featuring a diverse group of young adults. We learn that no two person’s circle of life is the same, and as part of addiction recovery we must not sit in silence.
Bellino has produced and directed more than 100 video, multimedia and interactive projects for U.S. Navy leadership, operational & systems organizations, and laboratories across the U.S.. His work resulted in modernizing media production workflows and establishing a virtual studio platform, enabling collaboration between government/military, industry, and academia. This included spearheading the Navy’s first 4K visualization center. As creative director, his visual storytelling spotlighted key topics such as future military concepts & operations, training & simulation, military & civilian recruiting, science, & technology transition, green energy initiatives, environmental & marine mammal protection.
Celene Di Stasio was executive producer for the U.S Air Force operations show and recruiting effort. This included development of the creative concept/pitch, proposal and securing the DoD contract. In this role, Celene was responsible for client relations, production oversight, and ensuring successful delivery of end products. The project involved managing a large team of creative and technical talent, and utilizing cinema and 360-degree cameras to deliver a high-quality immersive experience.
Left of Creative filmmakers and creative team produced the PSA for Project Safe Neighborhoods, a collaboration between the U.S. Attorney’s Office and FBI. Project Safe Neighborhoods is a nationwide initiative that brings together federal, state, local, and tribal law enforcement officials, prosecutors, community leaders, and other stakeholders to identify the most pressing violent crime problems in a community and develop comprehensive solutions.
A multi-national team of marine archaeologists, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and Navy scientists using Autonomous Undersea Vehicles (AUVs) would survey sunken Revolutionary War era British frigates in a search for sunken history. The event showcased the advanced capabilities of next-generation unmanned vehicles. Bellino directed this NBC documentary, Partnership Runs Deep, as its interactive counterpart was installed in the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of Natural History.
Celene was executive producer and director for the U.S. Coast Guard web recruitment effort and theatrical/cinema advertising campaign. She led the creative strategy that specifically focused on diversity and minority markets. This campaign resulted in a 43% increase in branch recruits.
In this role, Celene directed short-form stories, while managing production efforts, operations and crew. These produced spots have been featured in theaters across the U.S., and photography used for magazines and billboards nationwide.
This multi-year effort resulted in audio/visual training products and services in support of U.S Army and U.S. Joint Forces. As part of the NASA/JPL development team, we were responsible for developing new concepts and products that used modeling, simulation, advanced graphics, and audio/visual aids to assist software developers, military personnel and the training community across the U.S., Europe, Japan and South Korea.
